About

Marion Military Institute, one of only four military junior colleges in the nation, is best known for its rigorous leadership development and direct pathways into the armed forces, particularly through its signature two-year U.S. Army Early Commissioning Program and federal Service Academy Preparation program. Academically, the institute awards associate degrees in arts and sciences that prepare cadets for either immediate military commissions as second lieutenants or seamless transfer to four-year universities. Campus life is defined by a deeply disciplined, 24/7 corps-of-cadets culture where students live under a strict honor code focused on physical conditioning, character development, and academic focus. A distinctive hallmark of MMI is its historic rural campus, which has operated continuously as a disciplined military training ground since 1887, offering an immersive, small-college environment focused entirely on commissioning military officers and civil leaders.

Wikipedia:Marion Military Institute, the Military College of Alabama, is a public military junior college in Marion, Alabama. Founded in 1842, it is the official state military college of Alabama and the nation's oldest military junior college.
