About
Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne (CTSFW) is best known as one of two seminaries of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), renowned for its steadfast commitment to confessional Lutheran orthodoxy and traditional liturgical worship. The institution's academic strength centers entirely on rigorous theological training through its Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Deaconess Studies, and advanced doctoral programs, all deeply rooted in biblical languages and the Lutheran Confessions. Student life revolves around a tightly knit, deeply devotional community structured by daily chapel services in the striking Eero Saarinen-designed Kramer Chapel, as well as shared family-oriented campus housing. A distinctive hallmark of CTSFW is its rigorous vicarage and internship placement network, which immerses future pastors and deaconesses in intensive parish apprenticeship before ordination.
