Cyprus
Located in Limassol, Cyprus, the Cyprus University of Technology is a vibrant public institution known primarily for its strong emphasis on applied sciences, engineering, and technology-driven research. Its top-tier faculties include the Department of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Informatics, alongside well-regarded programs in management, communication, and fine arts. For international students, the university provides a welcoming multicultural environment supported by an Erasmus+ office that facilitates robust student mobility and exchange opportunities across Europe. While many undergraduate degrees are taught in Greek, the institution increasingly offers postgraduate programs and specific coursework in English, making it accessible to a broader global student body. A particularly distinctive characteristic of the university is its integration into the historic urban fabric of Limassol, where its restored neoclassical buildings are woven directly into the city center rather than confined to a traditional suburban campus.
The Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) (Greek: Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου or "ΤΕ.ΠΑ.Κ.") is a university established in 2004. Its first intake of students took place in the academic year 2007–08. The establishment of CUT is an attempt to fill in gaps that still exist within Cyprus' higher education by offering degrees in undergraduate and postgraduate levels that are not offered by the University of Cyprus or by other higher education institutions. It is based in Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus. It was officially inaugurated in September 2007 by then-President of Cyprus, Tassos Papadopoulos.
