The Department of International Relations actively supports incoming global scholars with visa assistance, orientation sessions, and Spanish language courses to help them integrate smoothly into academic and local life. A distinctive characteristic of the institution is its housing of the National Polytechnic School's Geophysical Institute, which monitors seismic and volcanic activity across Ecuador and provides critical public safety data while offering unique hands-on research opportunities for students.
