Cuba
Located in Havana, Cuba, the Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría (known as Cujae) is the country's premier public research university for engineering and architecture. The institution is best known academically for its rigorous technical programs, with its strongest faculties centered on mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical engineering. For international students, the campus offers a deeply immersive Spanish-language academic environment alongside specialized undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees, though prospective applicants should note that fluency in Spanish is essential for coursework. The university's International Relations Office assists visiting scholars and foreign students with admissions, visa processes, and cultural integration within the local academic community. A distinctive characteristic that sets Cujae apart is its hands-on approach to technical education, closely integrating industrial research and practical engineering projects directly into the national infrastructure of Cuba.
The José Antonio Echeverría Technological University, in its beginnings the José Antonio Echeverría University City (CUJAE), is an undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral research university located in Marianao, Havana, Cuba. It is controlled by the Cuban Ministry of Education. On February 15, 2017, the National Accreditation Board awarded it the category of "superior university of excellence", for its comprehensive training of students, research and impact in the country.
