About

Located in Zagreb, Croatia, the University of Zagreb is the oldest and largest continuously operating university in Southeastern Europe, renowned historically for its rigorous programs in medicine, engineering, and the humanities. As a comprehensive public institution, it offers a growing selection of English-taught degree programs, particularly at the master's and doctoral levels, attracting a diverse cohort of global scholars. The central International Relations Office actively assists incoming international students with admissions, visa procedures, and integration through orientation events and the Erasmus Student Network. A distinctive characteristic of the university is its decentralized structure, where faculties are spread dynamically throughout the vibrant capital city rather than concentrated on a single campus, embedding students deeply into urban Croatian life. International students benefit from affordable living costs relative to Western Europe, robust academic support from individual faculty coordinators, and the unique cultural backdrop of studying in a historic Central European crossroads.
