About

Alice Lloyd College is a distinctive work college in Pippa Passes, Kentucky, renowned for its mission to provide a tuition-guaranteed education to full-time students from its 108-county Central Appalachian service region. The academic experience is anchored by strong programs in education, business administration, biology, and robust pre-professional tracks such as pre-medicine and pre-pharmacy. Campus life is close-knit, faith-informed, and grounded in a mandatory student labor program where undergraduates work 10 to 20 hours per week to cultivate leadership and personal responsibility. Uniquely, the college continues its investment beyond graduation through the Caney Cottage program, which offers free housing to qualifying alumni pursuing graduate and professional degrees at the University of Kentucky.
