About

Located in the heart of Kentucky’s Bluegrass region, Midway University is a private, career-focused liberal arts institution best known for its premier Equine Studies and high-demand Nursing programs, alongside robust offerings in business and education. The student experience is centered around a close-knit, supportive community characterized by small class sizes, practical experiential learning, and active NAIA athletic programs. A major distinctive feature is its 160-acre campus that includes a fully functioning working horse farm and equestrian center, offering hands-on stable-to-classroom access. Historically Kentucky’s only college for women until transitioning to a fully coeducational model in 2016, Midway pairs a personalized campus culture with immersive, industry-aligned career preparation.

Wikipedia:Midway University is a private Christian university in Midway, Kentucky, United States. Related by covenant to the Christian Church, it enrolls approximately 2,000 students earning associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees. Midway began as an orphan school for female students in 1847 and over the decades evolved from a high school, to a junior college, and then a four-year women's college, the only one in Kentucky. The college became a university in July 2015 and in the fall of 2016 became fully coeducational.
