About

Nestled in the Appalachian foothills of eastern Kentucky, Morehead State University is a welcoming public institution best known for strong programs in education, nursing, and its nationally recognized Department of Physics, Earth, and Space Science. As one of only a few universities in the country offering a dedicated undergraduate degree in space systems engineering, MSU provides students with rare, hands-on opportunities to build microsatellites and operate space-tracking antennas in partnership with NASA. Campus life offers a tight-knit, community-centered environment energized by NCAA Division I athletics and immediate access to hiking, boating, and outdoor recreation in the nearby Daniel Boone National Forest and Cave Run Lake.
