About

Founded in 1960 as the first community college in Massachusetts, Berkshire Community College (BCC) provides accessible, career-focused, and transfer-oriented education on a scenic 180-acre campus in the Berkshire Hills. The college is best known for its standout Nursing and Allied Health pathways, robust Environmental Science program, and strong MassTransfer agreements that offer seamless transitions to four-year universities like UMass Amherst. Student life is supportive, community-centered, and commuter-friendly, serving a diverse student body of both traditional college students and adult learners with personalized advising and small class sizes.
