About

Kalamazoo College is a distinguished liberal arts institution best known for its innovative "K-Plan," an individualized educational model that seamlessly integrates rigorous academics with experiential learning, extensive study abroad participation, and independent scholarship. The college boasts particular strength in the natural sciences, pre-health tracks, psychology, and international relations, consistently ranking as a top producer of graduates who go on to earn PhDs. Student life is defined by a tight-knit, socially conscious, and collaborative community where students are deeply engaged in undergraduate research and civic engagement. A defining hallmark of the K-College experience is the Senior Integrated Project (SIP), a self-directed capstone project that empowers nearly every senior to conduct significant research, creative work, or specialized internship analysis before graduating.
