About

Beth Medrash Govoha (BMG) in Lakewood, New Jersey, is one of the largest and most prestigious Orthodox Jewish yeshivas in the world, internationally renowned for its advanced scholarship in Talmud and Halakha (Jewish law). Academic life centers on rigorous, self-directed analysis and the traditional *chavrusa* (peer study partner) method within expansive study halls, with programs granting undergraduate- and graduate-equivalent degrees in Talmudic studies. The student experience is entirely immersive and deeply devoted to religious and intellectual growth, serving as the cultural and spiritual anchor for the surrounding Lakewood Orthodox community. BMG is particularly distinguished by its vast *kollel* (post-graduate fellowship) program, making it an unparalleled global epicenter for lifelong, higher-level Torah study.
