About

SUNY Maritime College is a specialized maritime institution best known for training leaders in the global maritime industry, engineering, and logistics, with premier programs spanning Marine Transportation, Naval Architecture, and Maritime Business. Located on the historic Fort Schuyler peninsula beneath the Throggs Neck Bridge, the college offers a disciplined, close-knit campus culture divided between civilian students and the military-style Regiment of Cadets. What sets the college apart is its 565-foot training ship, the *Empire State VII*, which takes cadets on transoceanic Summer Sea Terms to earn U.S. Coast Guard merchant mariner credentials alongside their degrees.
