About

Founded by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in northwest Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill College is a private Catholic liberal arts institution best known for its supportive, values-based education and strong academic programs in psychology, education, forensic sciences, and business. The student experience is defined by a close-knit, mission-driven community featuring small class sizes, NCAA Division II athletics, and easy access to both downtown Philadelphia and the scenic trails of adjacent Wissahickon Valley Park. A distinctive hallmark of the college is its picturesque 75-acre campus, renowned for its striking French Gothic architecture—most notably the castle-like St. Joseph Hall—which gives the school a charming, historic atmosphere often compared to Hogwarts.
