About
United Lutheran Seminary (ULS) is a graduate theological school of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, best known for its rich historic heritage and its robust Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Ministerial Studies programs. Formed by the consolidation of the Gettysburg and Philadelphia seminaries, the school features a dual-campus model paired with flexible distributed-learning options that cater to both traditional and second-career students preparing for ordained ministry and public leadership. The Gettysburg campus culture is intimate, spiritually grounded, and ecumenical, fostering tight-knit fellowship through daily worship, shared meals, and deep community dialogue. Distinctively, the Gettysburg location sits directly on historic Civil War battlegrounds and houses the Seminary Ridge Museum, providing students with a unique, reflective environment where theological inquiry uniquely intersects with American history and social reconciliation.
