About

The Charleston School of Law is an independent, ABA-accredited legal institution best known for its student-centric environment, high bar exam passage support, and deep-seated commitment to public service. Academically, the school earns acclaim for its practical legal skills training, strong trial advocacy programs, and prominent specialties in admiralty and maritime law bolstered by Charleston’s major port city location. Campus culture is tight-knit, collaborative, and deeply embedded in downtown Charleston's historic district, offering students a vibrant coastal living experience paired with immediate networking access to the Lowcountry legal community. Distinctively, the law school requires every student to complete at least 50 hours of uncompensated pro bono legal service to graduate, instilling a strong ethos of community leadership alongside experiential practice.
