About
Located in Hyderabad, India, Maulana Azad National Urdu University is a central university established to promote and develop the Urdu language while providing modern education through conventional and distance modes. Academically, the institution is best known for its robust humanities, social sciences, Islamic studies, and teacher training programs, alongside expanding offerings in computer science and vocational education. While Urdu serves as the primary medium of instruction for many of its courses, the university actively welcomes international scholars through its dedicated International Students Cell, which assists with admissions, visa processing, and cultural adjustment. A distinctive characteristic of the university is its unique dual mandate to offer modern professional and technical disciplines entirely through the medium of Urdu, creating a culturally immersive academic environment unlike any other in the region. International students benefit from affordable tuition, specialized language support if needed, and a vibrant campus community in one of India's major historical and technological hubs.
